I caught my teachers practicing this dance at school one day. They were planning to perform for the end of the year PTA party. Can you imagine teachers in the US doing a dance like this for parents? Yeah, the PTA in Japan is definitely not the PTA in the States. It's not about bake sales and pizza nights at Shakeys. The parents and teachers go out, get drunk and sing karaoke together. I'm not sure why.... other than the fact that Japanese people are fond of getting drunk and singing. Hey, it's for the kids... right?
